We believe our efforts toward achieving the SDGs will be the foundation of all of our activities. All of our activities toward achieving our mission, “Create a safe living environment,” are based on the three materiality themes of sustainability. We will increase the convenience of our services so that they can be used by “anyone, anywhere,” and enhance the quality so that they can be used “anytime, with confidence.” As a foundation for such services, we are working on creating an environment where “employees and partners” can work with enthusiasm and maximize their potential.

Our KPI targets are “Zero serious payment incidents,” “Zero information breach cases,” and “Annual operating rate of TMN services at 99.98% or above” By achieving these targets, we will contribute to the SDGs of “INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE” (No. 9), and “RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRDUCTION” (No. 12).

We consider this theme the most important among the three themes, therefore our initial focus has been on this area since we started working on achieving SDGs. “Partners” in this context means all of our stakeholders, such as consumers and merchants. We consider the happiness of everyone, including employees working at TMN, their families and partners, merchants, and ultimately consumers.

Our KPI target is “Overall evaluation index of employees satisfaction survey: Better results than the previous year.” By achieving this target, we will contribute to the SDGs of “GENDER EQUALITY” (No. 5), and “DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH” (No. 8).

Promotion of work style reform

Increased productivity As we aim to maximize our results with minimum cost, we are constantly working to achieve highly productive operation.
Healthy company declaration As the health of our employee is the source of all of our activities, TMN issued the “Declaration of Healthy Company.” We are promoting “health management” by managing the health of employees from a business management perspective, and by strategically working on it.
Implementation of health management We started health management activities in FY2019 in accordance with the indexes of “Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program” implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. We also established a permanent health consultation desk; adopted office massage/smart meals (boxed meals prepared under the supervision of a registered dietitian); installed a healthcare booth with a blood pressure monitor, body composition monitor and other equipment; and provided a recording app so employees can check their body condition. In addition, we are also actively implementing measures against infectious disease.

As a company that aims to create a safe and convenient consumption environment based on its electronic payment services, Transaction Media Networks Inc. is promoting “health management” by managing the health of employees from a business management perspective, and by strategically working on it.

Transaction Media Networks Inc. has issued a Declaration of Healthy Company, and promotes health management for the ”Realization of a working environment where all employees can work with enthusiasm and maximize their potential,” which the company holds as one of its sustainability themes.

We will actively invest in employees’ health so that employees can continue to work with a healthy mind and body. By issuing this declaration and promoting health management, we will foster a culture that values the health of employees more than anything, and strive to maintain a workplace where employees feel rewarded.

Creating a workplace where employees feel rewarded

Career plan We believe it is ideal if a career plan made by each employee matches with the career path encouraged by the company, therefore we have a system in place where employees can frequently communicate with their managers to discuss their careers, daily work, and concerns.
Training system We aim to implement an education system that is based on the career plan of each employee, such as acquiring the business knowledge needed to excel at TMN, and obtaining skills to increase their market value.
Work-at-home To promote diverse work styles, we have already adopted a flex time system and a work-at-home system, and we will continue to encourage the use of these systems.
Information sharing We regularly share information by using means available to all employees, such as email, online and face-to-face meetings to communicate information pertaining to changing business conditions, messages from the top management and internal events.
Employment of people with disabilities As part of employment of people with disabilities, TMN is growing vegetables at a farm. Harvested vegetables are distributed to employees as part of employee benefits and to increase the motivation of employees, and employees post photos of dishes and messages.
Evaluation system We aim to implement fair and convincing evaluation, therefore we have implemented a system which focuses on communication between employees and their managers.
Compensation system We have a system in place where the medium- to long-term contribution made by employees is considered, while taking into account the compensation levels of competitors.
Childcare leave As we have employees who are entering different life stages, more and more male employees are now taking childcare leave.

Vegetables harvested by employees working at the TMN farm are periodically distributed within the company.
