TMN plans to begin offering the "Business Bill Card Payment Service" within this fiscal year, allowing businesses to pay bills by credit card. Expanding Electronic Payments in B2B Domain

Although the proportion of electronic payments in Japanese domestic personal consumption exceeds 40%*1, and the understanding of electronic payments’ convenience and safety is becoming widespread, B2B payments are still dominated by cash transfers and notes; a huge market worth around 780 trillion JPY*2, but untapped by electronic payments.

The abolition of paper promissory notes and checks in 2027 by the government's Growth Strategy Implementation Plan (Cabinet decision on June 18, 2021) *3 has become a catalyst for the need for payment digitalization, cash flow equalization and payment operation efficiency, especially among small and medium-sized enterprises.

Under these circumstances, TMN has decided to enter the B2B payment service business for further business expansion in the future, leveraging its track record and know-how in the consumer payment domain.

Improving Small/Mid-sized Business Cash Flow with Electronic Payments

By using TMN's "Business Bill Card Payment Service" and paying with a credit card, companies can extend the payment due date compared to traditional bank transfers, which will lead to improved cash flow. The service also contributes to business management sophistication, such as accounting operation efficiency improvement, points collection associated with card use, and digitizing payment details.

What’s Next?

TMN will continue to contribute to the construction of a sustainable society by quickly incorporating the issues and needs of companies in B2B payments and providing new services to improve the efficiency and reliability of B2B transactions.
